Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Man In 2016 Fraud Case
Man stole $50,000 under the guise of purchasing a large amount of diesel fuel from a Russian refinery: Police

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX — Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and Fort bend County Crime Stoppers are searching for a man they believe involved in a fraud case from 2016.
On Aug. 22, 2016, the complainant wired $50,000 to a Bank of America account in the name of “Kenneth Emerson” under the guise of purchasing a large amount of diesel fuel from a Russian refinery.

The money was drawn from a Bank of America branch, located in the 9400 block of Spring Green Blvd. in the Katy area on Aug. 24, 2016 and Aug. 26, 2016.
The suspect is a black male about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds. In the first appearance at the bank, he was wearing a long-sleeve pink sports shirt.
On the second visit at the bank, he was wearing a light green long-sleeve shirt. In one other photo, he was wearing a blue and green long-sleeve shirt.

“This is a 2016 case, but we need to find this guy,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls. “While he didn’t hurt anyone physically, he certainly hurt the victims in this scam.”
Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers will pay a $5,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators in a 2016 felony theft case.
