According to investigators, Rosemary Harrah was initially charged with injury to a child, but the charge will likely be upgraded to Capital Murder because the child was under the age of 10.
On Dec. 11, deputies went to Harrah’s home in the 12100 block of Mueck Road after receiving a report of a child was not breathing.
Deputies found the infant in his crib, and didn’t see any marks to indicate he’d been injured.
An autopsy on the child was ordered to determine a cause of death.
Nearly two weeks later, investigators were tipped off that Harrah had allegedly posted on the Glow Nurture web page -- which is geared toward expectant mothers and mothers of infants -- that she wanted to hurt her child.
Deputies brought Harrah in for questioning, where she allegedly confessed to investigators to killing her son.
Harrah, who investigators said had a motive for the killing, was arrested on Dec. 27 and charged with injury to a child.
Fort Bend County officials are still awaiting toxicology results from the child’s autopsy, which cold take several weeks.
Once those results are returned, investigators expect to upgrade the charge to capital murder.
Harrah’s bond is set at $500,000.
