MISSOURI CITY, TX -- An associate pastor at a church in Sienna Plantation is facing charges of sexual assault after he was arrested for having sex with an underage girl. Daniel Carrel, 27, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault of a minor, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.Investigators said they were tipped off by the girl's mother who became suspicious of the relationship between Carrel and her daughter.Deputies arrested Carrel on Friday. In a statement released by the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office,<a href="http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/fortbend/news/article/Assistant-Fort-Bend-County-pastor-arrested-for-10688397.php" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Carrel told investigators that he had sex with the girl from six to eight times</a>, and at various locations including at each of their houses, his church office and in a car in the woods near the church. The girl and her family are members of the Sienna Plantation Baptist Church, where Carrel was employed as an associate pastor. In his position, <a href="http://www.click2houston.com/news/assistant-pastor-at-sienna-plantation-church-accused-of-sex-with-underage-girl" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Carrel was in charge of the youth ministry, consisting of middle school and high school age students</a>, at various times at the church. Carrel has since been terminated from his position, and his biography has been removed from the church's web page. Carrel is in the Fort Bend County Jail. His bond is set at $75,000.
