Grand Mission Children's Lighthouse Honors Local Teacher

Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center℠ in Grand Mission Names Teacher Appreciation Week Winner

Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers℠ across the country honored teachers and staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week – May 7-11, 2018. The values-based early education brand held a Facebook contest for parents and families to share what they love and value most about their child's teacher. Teachers with the most entries were honored at each school.

LaVerne Grant at Children's Lighthouse Learning Center in Grand Mission was awarded the National Teacher Appreciation Contest 2018 winner. Grant was given this honor for her dedication to her students' education and development. She received glowing comments from families about her ability to provide a nurturing classroom that promotes creativity, learning and development.

"I'm passionate about teaching children and helping them to grow in all aspects of their lives," Grant said. "To hear that so many parents and families have said such kind things about me means so much. I'm proud to work at Children's Lighthouse, and all my fellow teachers here have the same desire to help children be their best. We learn from each other and take pride in making Children's Lighthouse a great place for children to learn and develop in the early stage of their lives to better prepare them for their futures."
