The Honor Roll School Gives Back During the Holiday Season

Students performed songs for local seniors and collected 4,500 pounds of food for the Houston Food Bank

Students at The Honor Roll School in Sugar Land recently took part in initiatives to give back this holiday season. On Dec. 18, more than 70 second graders paid a special visit to Seven Acres Senior Assisted Living Center to spread cheer and perform songs for residents. The Honor Roll School also held its annual “Stuff the Bus” initiative and collected 4,500 pounds of food for ABC13’s Share Your Holidays Food Drive, which benefits the Houston Food Bank. Students delivered the food donations to a local drop-off site, where members from the drama club performed a small scene from The Nutcracker. Through these efforts, students learned the importance of giving back to the community and helping others.
