Katy Buc-ees Store Aims For World Record Car Wash

Store officials have contacted the Guinness Book Of World Records, and hope to be record holders when the store opens in Katy this summer.

KATY, TX -- Buc-ees, the iconic Texas convenience store known for its notoriously clean bathrooms, and for literally stocking and selling everything from Yeti coolers, deer corn, home decor and snacks, is now aiming for a Guinness World Record for the world's longest car wash.

According to a recent Houston Chronicle report, the Buc-ees in Katy, which should open this summer, will boast a 225-foot long tunnel car wash along with other Buc-ees related items and services.

Because the car wash will be so long -- about 75 yards -- , it will be able to serve more cars than a standard car wash.
