KATY, TX — Katy Taylor Head Football Coach Trey Herrmann has been placed on an indefinite administrative leave by the Katy Independent School District. Assistant Coach Joe Sheffy will take over the head coaching duties for the remainder of the season, Katy ISD officials said Tuesday. Parents of Katy Taylor football players were notified of the change on Tuesday about the change, and reassured parents that Sheffy could handle the job. "Katy ISD is committed to its students and will do everything necessary to ensure their continued success during this transition. Because this is a personnel matter the District is unable to provide additional information at this time," the statement from the district read in part.
