Man Charged With Murder Of Couple, 5-Year-Old Son

Police are charging Robert Satterfield with the murder of a missing Angleton couple and their 5-year-old son.

WHARTON, TX — A man suspected of murdering three, including a 5-year-old boy, has been charged with three counts of murder, according to reports. Robert Satterfield, 36, is now being held at the Fort Bend County jail on $300,000 bond.

Human remains found in Wharton County were believed to be those of a missing Angleton couple and their young son. The three bodies were found in Wharton on Saturday, nearly a week after Maya Rivera, 24, Ray Shawn Hudson Sr., 28, and 5-year-old Ray Shawn Hudson Jr. disappeared from Angleton, media outlets reported.

The family reported her missing Wednesday and their car was found Thursday in Rosenberg, Angleton Police told media outlets. Satterfield was driving the vehicle and was arrested on drug charges.

The Wharton County Sheriff's Office said "Satterfield agreed to cooperate and was taken to the property in Wharton County where skeletal remains were located," Click2Houston reports.

Police said the bodies were burned in an attempt to dispose of them.
