MISSOURI CITY, TX — The Quail Valley Middle School campus was evacuated Wednesday morning after a student set off a pepper spray device inside a classroom.The incident happened at about 11:15 a.m. and caused several students and staff members to become ill. School district officials in Fort Bend ISD released a statement that said the pepper spray traveled quickly through arts of the school.Those who were affected by the pepper spray were evaluated by EMS who were sent to the campus."I want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to keep our students safe, and we are contacting the parents of those affected," Principal Jeff Post said in a statement Wednesday. Quali Valley Middle School was evacuated Wednesday morning after a student sprayed pepper spray in one of the classrooms.
