Ban includes all e-cigarettes and vaping devices to be banned where smoking is prohibited
MISSOURI CITY, TX -- Patrons who are in a no smoking establishment in Missouri City are being warned to also leave those leave the electronic cigarettes at home, too.
The city council recently amended the city's smoking ordinance to include use of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, which are now banned anywhere smoking is prohibited.
The amendment was proposed by members of the Fort Bend Community Prevention Coalition who brought their concerns to Missouri City Councilman Chris Preston.

"We take pride in this change, and want to thank Councilman Preston for his commitment and passion throughout this process," Coalition Coordinator Payal Patani. "As a coalition, we are dedicated to prevent substance abuse among our youth. As the popularity of these devices rise, it is important that
our community know there are still dangers associated with e-cigarettes and vaping. We applaud the city's efforts to keep our community smoke-free, and value Tobacco Free Fort Bend's partnership."
