Randalls Closing Houston Area Distribution Facility

Operations moving to Dallas-Fort Worth area will affect more than 200 employees.

KATY, TX -- Randall’s has announced plans to close their grocery distribution facility in Katy, and consolidate their operations in its Dallas-Fort Worth.

The change will affect more than 200 employees in the Houston area, according to a press release.

Parent company Albertsons said in a statement that its human resource department is working to align these employees with other local opportunities, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

Randalls has 29 store locations in the Houston area, and recently closed its location on South Mason Road in Katy.

The parent company also owns 64 Tom Thumb stores and 44 Albertsons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Company officials said there are no plans to close other locations in Houston at this time.
