Reward Increased To $15K In Murder Of Fort Bend Mother

RICHMOND, TX — The Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers has increased the reward to $15,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person who shot and killed a 38-year old woman as she drove home on Dec. 5.

Lieu Nguyen was shot to death in what investigators believe may have been a road rage incident.

At 7:40 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-11 call from the victim's ex-husband who said that his ex-wife had called him and and told him she'd been shot.

Deputies went to the intersection of Addicks-Clodine Road and Bissonnet in the Houston area of Fort Bend County, where they found the body of an Asian female, identified as Lieu Nguyen, in the front seat of her Toyota Camry.

Nguyen, who worked at an insurance agency, left work at about 6 p.m., and drove to a nearby grocery store.

On her way home, investigators believe she got into some type of disagreement on the road, and was subsequently shot several times.

Her body was taken to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Two weeks after Nguyen's murder, Crime Stoppers increased the reward fro $5,000to $10,000, and announced they were following up on leads that could point to her killer.

"If anyone has information concerning this murder case, they need to contact Crime Stoppers," said Sheriff Troy Nehls. "Someone out there knows about this case. Call Crime Stoppers and help solve this heinous crime and get some reward cash."
