Richmond Launching Spring Clean Up This Weekend

For the next three Saturdays in April, the city and Republic Services will be picking up household items from the curbside.

RICHMOND, TX — It's spring cleaning season and the Cityof Richmond is helping residents get in the spirit this weekend.

For the next three Saturdays in April, the city and Republic Services will be picking up household items from the curbside.

The following neighborhoods will be collected on these days:

  • April 14: Residents north of the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks including River's Edge Subdivision.
  • April 21: Residents east of the Brazos River; Fountains at Jane Long Subdivision; Residents east of South 7th Street aand north of Wheaton and Burnet Streets.
  • April 28: Residents in Del Webb, Wiliams Ranch, and the rest of the city.

Household items need to be out on the curb by 7 a.m., but there are items that will not be picked up.

Items that will not be collected and can instead be dropped off at the Fort Bend Reccling and Environment Center at 1200 Blume Road include:

  • Construction debris or torn down buildings
  • Green waste, trees or shrubs
  • Fencing or debris fro vacant lots
  • Paint
  • Amonia, or other cheimcals
  • Bleach or other caustic materials
  • Old tires, car parts
  • Gas cylinders, propane, gasoline
  • Disposed oil, antifreeze or other automotive roducts
  • Explosives, ammunition, radio active waste.
