Rosenberg Child Predator Sentenced To Life In Prison

RICHMOND, TX — A Fort Bend County man who sexually abused his victims for nearly 30 years will spend the rest of his life in prison.

A jury convicted Ponce in February after prosecutors presented evidence that he sexually abused a child younger than 14-years old between 2007 and 2011, and that he sexually abused three other children over a span of 28 years, the Houston Chronicle reported.
After he was convicted in February, Fort Bend County detention officers told prosecutors that Ponce had been found with a shank inside his cell, and was also caught tampering with a razor blade, KTRK reported.

Continuous sexual assault of a young child is a first degree felony that is punishable by 25 to 99 years or life in prison without parole, and a fine up to $10,000.
