Rosenberg Man Convicted Of Possessing, Distributing Child Porn

ROSENBERG, TX -- A 23-year old man pled guilty in a Harris County courtroom Wednesday to charges of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography.

Ryan Glen Colburn is accused of taking sexually explicit photos and videos of a 2-year old child and distributing those photos online.

Acting U.S. Attorney Abe Martinez said in a press release that Colburn produced six videos and 25 photographs that were shared with others online.

Prosecutors learned of Colburn’s activities after they discovered images he’d sent to another person arrested for distributing child pornography.

Federal agents searched Colburn’s home and while conducting a forensic examination on his computer, found more 1,100 pornographic images and 200 sexually explicit videos of children.

An online Dropbox account also uncovered more than 600 images and 400 videos of child pornography.

Officials said many of those children were identified through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

During his plea, Colburn admitted to taking sexually explicit photographs and videos of a two-year-old minor. Colburn further admitted he traded these images with other individuals online.

Colburn faces a minimum of 15 and up to 30 years in federal prison for production of child pornography, up to 20 years imprisonment for distribution as well as a maximum of 10 years for the possession of child pornography. All charges also carry a possible penalty of a $250,000 maximum fine.

He is scheduled for sentencing on July 5.
