STAFFORD, TX — A man who allegedly confessed to stabbing his wife to death at the couple’s apartment in is in the Fort Bend County Jail charged with her murder.
Jair Rodriguez, 45, is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Doris Rodriguez.
Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the apartment complex in the 500 block of Stafford Springs Avenue on Aug. 16 for a stabbing.

Jair Rodriguez, who’d called the sheriff’s office, told investigators that he had stabbed his wife to death during an argument between the couple.
Sheriff’s deputies found the body Doris Rodriguez, 45, in the laundry room of the apartment.

She was pronounced dead shortly after at 6 p.m.
Later in the evening, Jair Rodriguez was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail and is charged with murder, a first-degree felony.
