Student Activists Hosting Saturday Town Hall Meeting
Student invited local officials to a town hall meeting at Saven Lakes High School Saturday at 4 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX — Students in Cinco Ranch will be hosting a student-led town hall meeting at Seven Lakes High School on Satruday, April 7.
The town hall meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m., with doors opening at 3:40 p.m.
The town hall, which is billed as a non-partisan effort, is being spearheaded by the Seven Lakes Democrats, according to a press release.

This event, run by students and for students, is intended to encourage local students to express their voices as constituents and citizens and will address several topics including:
- School Safety
- Mental Health and Bullying
- Student Participation in Government
- Miscellaneous Student Issues
The Sevel LAkes Democrats have invited US Rep Pee Olson (R-TX), and Democratic challengers

Sri Preston Kulkarni and Dr. Letitia Plummer; State Rep. John Zerwas (R-28) and Democratic challenger Meghan Scoggins; Texas State Board of Education District 7 Candidates Dr. Eliz Markowitz (D) and Dr. Matt Robinson (R); and Katy ISD School Board President Ashley Vann and Vice President Courtney Doyle.
Since this is a student- and education-based event, only students, parents, and teachers will be eligible to ask questions at the event.
Additionally, invited candidates/officials will be asked to provide a five-minute speech about themselves and their platforms at the beginning and the end of the event.
Furthermore, there will be designated spaces for press as well as voter registration. Candidates/officials will also be offered tables to set up and dispense campaign materials.
