Sugar Land Police Release Video Of Credit Card Theft
Police are looking for a man and a woman caught on video surveillance stealing a woman's wallet at a Panera Bread Restaurant.
SUGAR LAND, TX —Sugar Land police are looking for two people seen on surveillance video stealing a wallet from an unattended purse inside Panera Bread, 1928 Highway 6, on Feb. 4.
Video from the restaurant shows the pair of thieves enter the restaurant just after 2 p.m. and sit near a table where two women were eating.
A purse belonging to one of the women was left across the table in an empty chair.

The female thief draped a scarf over the purse while the two women were distracted, removed a wallet and quickly left with her male companion.
About 30 minutes later, the woman who owned the purse received a text that her credit card was declined at a nearby department store.

The suspects are described as a white or Hispanic man and woman.
The man has short-cropped hair, was wearing sunglasses, a blue blazer, a maroon shirt, jeans and tan shoes, and the woman had long dyed blond hair, was wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, a checkered scarf, a maroon shirt, jeans and white shoes.
Police believe the two thieves are responsible for at least four other similar crimes in Sugar Land since Jan. 15.
