Sugar Land Woman Arrested, Accused Of Running Over Five Pedestrians

Police said Decker hit pedestrians who were walking in the bicycle lane, critically injuring three.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX -- A Sugar Land woman is in jail, accused of running over five pedestrians on March 17 and fleeing the scene of the accident.

Daisy Joy Decker, 20, was allegedly driving in the bike lane in the 4200 block of Gulf Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Friday, when she allegedly hit five pedestrians.

Witnesses said that Decker, who was driving a dark Honda CRV, failed to stop and help the injured victims.

Police said the victims range in age from 16 to 22 years old, and police said three of the pedestrians hit were critically injured.

Decker was arrested several hours later on a tip from a witness who saw the car and called police.

She was taken to jail in South Padre Island where she was charged with multiple counts of accident involving personal injury.

Her bond is set at $130,000.
