TB Scare Spreads To Sugar Land’s Clements High School
Fort Bend ISD said small group of students, and one staff member possibly exposed to airborne illness.

SUGAR LAND, TX -- Students at Clements High School are the second campus in the Greater Houston in a week area to see a suspected case of tuberculosis.
The case was reported Thursday by the campus to the families of a small group of students, and one staff member, who may have been exposed to the illness.
Fort Bend ISD officials said Clements High School students whose families were not contact do not need to be evaluated for the illness.

Last Friday, the El Campo Independent School District sent letters home to parents warning them of a potential exposure to tuberculosis, or TB at El Campo High School.
The school district provided free voluntary testing for students on Feb. 9 and Feb 10 during school hours.

Some of symptoms of TB include:
- Fever
- Chills
- Lethargy
- Night Sweats
- Coughing
- Chest Pain
- Loss of Appetite
- Unexplained weight loss
Testing for TB is conducted through either a blood test or skin test, and is a painless procedure.
