(Updated)ROSENBERG, TX — An 18-year old an who is accused of assaulting a 30-year old man outside of a a Rosenberg restauraint in September is in police custody.
Alejandro Maldonado turned himself into Rosenberg Police on Thursday night after vdeo surfaced of him sucker punching a man in the back of the head, knocking the man unconscious.

A surveillance video shows Maldonado coming up behind a man and violently punching him in the back of the head,KTRK reported.

The force of the punch sends the man falling forward, and he is seen lying unconscious on the sidewalk.
Witnesses told investigators that Maldonado and the man didn’t argue in the restaurant, the Houston Chronicle reported.
The man was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for severe head injuries and spent several days in the hospital.
Maldonado has been charged with aggravated assault.
His bond has not been set
