TxDOT Construction Will Impact I-69 South Traffic This Weekend

TxDOT plans to detour southbound traffic to feeders road, from Rabbs Bayou to Reading Road Sunday night.

RICHMOND, TX — Crews with the Texas Department of Transporation will be detouring traffic from the southbound main lanes of I-69 from Rabbs Bayou to Reading Road starting Sunday evening.

The shift will start at 8 p.m. Sunday and continue through 5 a.m. on Monday.

TxDOT will be moving South bound main lane traffic to the South Bound Frontage Rd and North Bound Main lane traffic will be detoured to Reading Rd to FM 2977 to FM 762.

This closure will allow the contractor to move cranes in the correct location and place beams and panels.

There will be a police officer at the signal lights to help keep traffic moving.

From Monday, Feb. 5 thru Sunday, Feb. 11, TxDOT will only be shutting down the South Bound Mainlanes and moving traffic to the South Bound Frontage Rd, nightly, between the hours of 10pm – 5am.

This is to allow the contractor to move the cranes to the next location.
