UPDATE: Police ID Man Allegedly Killed By Wife During Domestic Dispute
Wife claims she and her husband fought for the gun during domestic dispute.

KATY, TX -- A man who was shot to death late Thursday night during an argument with his wife has been identified as 32-year old Jeffrey Thaler.
Officials with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said a woman called 911 around 11:30 p.m. Thursday
from a home in the 2400 block of Brandyshire Drive and said she'd shot her husband to death.
When deputies arrived,they found Thaler dead on the living room floor from a gunshot wound to the chest

The wife, who hasn't not yet been identified, claims she was a victim of domestic violence.
The women allegedly told investigators that they began arguing and eventually began struggling over the gun, resulting in Thaler's death.

The woman's attorney, Todd Ward, with DeGuerin, Dickson, and Ward, told KPRC that the woman shot her husband in self-defense. He said there is a history of domestic violence between the couple.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man dead Friday morning.
Deputies were called to a home in the 2400 block of Brandyshire Dr. in the Firethorne subdivision at about 1:20 a.m., and found a man shot to death in the home.
According to investigators, the man and his wife were arguing and during the argument, she allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her husband.
An attorney who claims to represent the wife said they are gathering evidence to show the shooting was an act of self-defense.
No one else was at the home and no charges have been filed.
This case will be referred to the Grand Jury and remains under investigation.
