The event focuses on helping local women manage family health decisions and features survivor and former NYPD detective Katrina Brownlee as keynote speaker.

Gilleland (uvaldeleadernews.com) — Family and friends are mourning Paula Christine Gilleland, who was born in Uvalde and spent her life centered around Sabinal, quilting, sewing, and doting on her large family. Recently laid to rest in Sabinal Cemetery, she is remembered for her long marriage, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the loving memories she created with them.
