A seven-member committee of parents, community members, and a councilman will recommend a design and location, but the city council will make the final decision. 
• Coyotes roll to 46-8 win over Creek View (uvaldeleadernews.com) — Uvalde High’s Coyotes snapped a three-game skid with a dominant 46-8 home win over Creek View, powered by a 26-0 first half and 394 rushing yards. Players then cheered the Coyote Marching Band, which gets a community send-off at 8 a.m. Oct. 3 from the downtown plaza as it heads to a competition in Converse.
