Victoria's efforts are nationally recognized, and residents are encouraged to join neighborhood block parties on Oct. 6 for more chances to meet officers, first responders, and neighbors.
• Victoria East's Aniya Franklin commits to Texas A&M-Kingsville (crossroadstoday.com) — A standout Victoria East softball pitcher, Aniya Franklin, has committed to continue her career at Texas A&M–Kingsville, following another local player, Keyanna Fillmore. Franklin helped lead the Titans to a strong district record and earned first-team all-district and academic all-district honors for her performance on the mound.
