Texas Man Sentenced To 80 Years In Prison For Assaulting Baby

WACO, TX — A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 80 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 1-month-old baby while he was high on meth. Patricio Medina was sentenced for an incident in March 2014 when a baby was found with "a broken leg, and an eye change that is consistent with shaken baby syndrome.," Fox17 reported.

Medina was found guilty after he confessed to the crime to another inmate at McLennan County Jail. He has been there since April 2017 on a $225,000 bond, KWTX reported. Medina's victim has since been adopted and is doing well, KWTX added.
