• TXDPS Pursuit in Parker County 09/08/26 (gilmermirror.com) — A high-speed DPS pursuit in the Weatherford area on I-20 ended when a fleeing GMC Terrain crashed near Ric Williamson Memorial Highway, briefly blocking westbound lanes. No one in the third-party vehicle was injured, but the driver was seriously hurt and taken to a hospital. The incident remains under investigation, highlighting ongoing traffic-safety concerns for Weatherford commuters.
   

• Council mulls Public Utility Agency (community-news.com) — Weatherford is being proposed as a key member of a new Parker County Public Utility Agency that would jointly plan and finance future water supplies for the region. • Belinda Armijo - Jan. 19, 1986 - Aug. 29, 2026 (fortworthreport.org) — Family and friends in North Texas, including relatives in Weatherford, are mourning the passing of 40-year-old Belinda Rios-Armijo, a longtime neonatal CNA at JPS Hospital. Services are scheduled in mid-September in Fort Worth, where loved ones will gather to honor her devotion to family, her caregiving work, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and support.
