• Wills Point athletic program placed on 2-year probation (news-journal.com) — Wills Point High School's athletic department has been placed on two years' probation after the UIL ruled two freshman football players ineligible for varsity play through their junior seasons. The decision, tied to transfers into Wills Point ISD, also requires new coach training and comes as the Tigers sit 0-5 heading into their Oct. 9 district opener.
