• The Woodlands offers chance to honor veterans with engraved tile (communityimpact.com) — Residents can honor veterans in The Woodlands by purchasing engraved granite tiles for The Way Home Veterans Memorial Monument near The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. For $300, families can add names of active-duty or former service members, with tiles installed before Memorial Day and Veterans Day; orders are due by April 15 and October 5 respectively via The Woodlands Township website.
   

• Texas designer wins Coaster's inaugural design contest (furnituretoday.com) — A home-staging pro from Set the Stage The Woodlands in nearby Spring has taken first place in Coaster Fine Furniture's national "Designed With Coaster" contest. Lindsey Whitely's bedroom and living room projects, featuring several Coaster collections, topped entries from more than 50 designers nationwide, bringing some extra design prestige back to The Woodlands area.
