1. 7 road project updates in The Woodlands area this August (communityimpact.com) — Several major road and intersection projects in The Woodlands area are underway or recently completed, including new signals on Rayford and Grogan's Mill, widening on Hwy. 242, and drainage work along I-45. These projects, funded by county bonds and TxDOT, aim to improve traffic flow and safety over the next several years.
   

2. A Texas-sized Race: Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas in The Woodlands on Oct. 10 (hellowoodlands.com) — A major running event is coming to Northshore Park in The Woodlands on Saturday, October 10, featuring a 10-mile race, 5K, and kids' fun run. Runners of all abilities can register, but races are capped and participants must maintain a 16-minute mile to stay ahead of course reopening to traffic.
   

3. ZZ Top Will Keep Touring After Frank Beard's Death (ksisradio.com) — ZZ Top will continue their Big One! Tour after drummer Frank Beard's death, and the schedule includes a stop at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on October 3. The band, now led by Billy Gibbons with replacement drummer Michael Monahan, is honoring Beard's wish that the show go on while touring across the U.S. and Latin America.
   

4. 10 Hit Songs Babyface Wrote for Other Artists (rickeysmileymorningshow.com) — Fans in The Woodlands can hear Babyface's songwriting catalog live when he joins Keyshia Cole and Tamia for Majic Under The Stars at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on October 24. Ahead of the show, the piece spotlights ten major hits he wrote for other artists, underscoring how deeply his work has shaped R&B.
