• The Woodlands Township and City of Houston Partnership Continues: Amendment to the Regional Participation Agreement (hellowoodlands.com) — The Woodlands Township Board has unanimously approved a Third Amendment to its Regional Participation Agreement with Houston, a move that would permanently remove the threat of annexation and keep more future sales tax revenue local. If Houston City Council agrees, The Woodlands will pay Houston $27.4 million over three years while gaining long-term financial flexibility and clearer self-governance options.
   

• Texas High School Cross Country State Rankings (sanangelolive.com) — The Woodlands High School cross country program is once again among the state's elite, landing near the top of new rankings from the Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas. Several local rivals, including College Park, also appear, giving Woodlands runners and parents an early look at how teams stack up heading into the fall season.
