Texas man in pastor training program accused of sexually assaulting teen (kens5.com) β A 22-year-old man formerly in a pastor training program at Grace Church in The Woodlands has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl after an August youth event, authorities say. Grace Church says he was a trainee, not staff, and was dismissed once allegations surfaced, while investigators urge anyone with additional information or concerns to contact the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office.

The Woodlands Approves Sheriff-Operated Mounted Patrol for 2027 (myneighborhoodnews.com) β The Woodlands Township has voted to replace its private Alpha & Omega mounted patrol with a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office unit starting in 2027, giving horseback patrols full law-enforcement authority. The change shifts horse care and training to the county, requires nearly $954,000 in startup costs, and is projected to save about $133,000 a year after the first year, improving safety, liability, and coordination for local events and daily patrols.

Starset Release New Single 'T r a n s f u s 1 0 n' With Lyric Video (themosh.net) β Rock fans in The Woodlands can catch Starset with Breaking Benjamin and Kami Kehoe at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on October 10. The band just released a new single, "T r a n s f u s 1 0 n," continuing their leetspeak style as they tour arenas and amphitheaters across the country this month.

Woodlands Christian XC meet (FULL) 2026 (milesplit.com) β Local runners from The Woodlands Christian Academy turned in strong performances at their 2026 home cross-country meet, with multiple varsity, JV, and middle school athletes placing well across distances. The massive results sheet lets families and fans see exact times and finishes for every Warrior runner, plus how they stacked up against visiting schools from across the Houston area.
