• Retail Theft Suspects arrested after Deputies recover more than $3,000 in Stolen Merchandise (hellowoodlands.com) — Deputies arrested two suspects after they allegedly left the Ross store on Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands Township with more than $3,000 in stolen merchandise. A traffic stop near I-45 uncovered the goods and tools to defeat security tags, and investigators believe the pair may be linked to additional retail thefts in other jurisdictions.

• Texas Children's Dr. Michael Taylor Honored by CPRIT for Advancing Childhood Brain Tumor Research (texaschildrens.org) — A Texas Children's pediatric neurosurgeon has received a prestigious Texans Conquer Cancer Award from the state's cancer research institute for breakthroughs in childhood brain tumor research. His work, based in the Texas Medical Center, supports care across the Texas Children's system, including Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands, which serves families north of Houston with advanced pediatric services.
