Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Medical Practice Building In The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office have given the all clear signal after reports of a bomb forced the evacuation of a medical facility near CHI St. Luke’s in The Woodlands Wednesday morning.

Officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were notified of the threat at about 9 a.m. in the 17400 block of St. Luke’s Way. (Want to get daily updates about traffic news and other events going on in your area? Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.)

Officials said that someone left a note that said the building would be blown up unless a ransom was paid, KPRC reported.

Officials evacuated the Medical Arts Center III and searched the second floor, the Houston Chronicle reported.

However, there were no explosives or devices found.

The incident is still under investigation
