Complaints From Community Leads to Prostitution Arrests

SPRING, TX -- Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office have arrested six men and three women this month on issues related to prostitution after a number of people in the community complained about prostitutes working the area at Cypresswood and the North Freeway.

Deputies arrested three women who were working in that area, and charged them with prostitution.

The Constable's Office also conducted an undercover investigation near Huffmeister Road and Fleur De Lis that resulted in the arrest of six men.

The areas of North Houston and Spring have long been hotbeds of prostitution and sex trafficking activities that have resulted in the community becoming more proactive with law enforcement officials

Constable Mark Herman said illegal activities like prostitution often attract other bad elements and the community has had enough.
