Conroe ISD Principal Gets Jiggy With Ice Day Baby Facebook Video
Principal enlists her family to help create a fun Facebook announcement for Ice Day school closure.
THE WOODLANDS, TX — Most principals defer primarily to school district officials for announcements on school closures, but one prinicpal took the school closing announcement on Tuesday a creative step further when with a cool Facebook video that is now making the rounds.
Alicia Reeves, who is principal at Deretchin Elementary in The Woodlands, enlisted the help of her husband and three children, parodied Vanilla Ice's 1990 hit "Ice Ice Baby," and told students to stay home.
The video, which posted on Tuesday, has already recieved over 15,000 views.

Schools across the Houston area have been closed since Tuesday after a winter storm that stretched from from central Texas to the northeastern U.S., covered the Greater Houston area in a blanket of ice and kept temperatures hovering in the 20s for 36 hours.
Classes are expected to resume at all Houston area schools on Thursday morning.
