Klein ISD Students Earn Scholastic Art Awards
More than 100 Klein ISD intermediate and high school students earned Harris County Department of Education Scholastic Art Awards.
From Klein Independent School District: More than 100 Klein ISD intermediate and high school students earned Harris County Department of Education Scholastic Art Awards. This annual, national program provides awards for thousands of art entries submitted by Harris County teens.
Students earn gold key, silver key, and honorable mention awards. Gold key recipients go on to compete at the national level.
Ten regional gold key art and writing entries are nominated for the best-in-region for the national American Voices/American Visions awards. These 10 awards are judged nationally for medals. One of the five nominees in art and writing will be selected for the national award. Congratulations to Klein Collins student Mary Ann Hurtdao and Doerre Intermediate student Jillian Romero, both named as nominees for the American Voices award, and to Kleb Intermediate student Citlali Francisco, named one of five nominees for the American Visions award.
