Man Is Hit, Killed By A Train In Spring
Investigators are trying to determine why the man was on the tracks in a heavily wooded area

SPRING, TX -- Law enforcement officials are investigating an accident at Louetta and Vintage Preserve Parkway that claimed a man’s life early Friday morning.
Investigators said an unidentified man was struck and killed by a train just before 3 a.m. in the 9800 block of Louetta Road.
The area is heavily wooded, so investigators are trying to determine if the man was sleeping on the railroad tracks, walking on the railroad tracks, or intentionally walked in front of the train.

The train operator called 911 after the accident.

There were no witnesses to the accident.
Portions of the Louetta were closed for several hours during the investigation and reopened at 7 a.m.
The incident is under investigation.
