New Woodlands Township Board Is Sworn In

Former board member Ed Robb, prays for new board members as one of his final acts on the board of directors

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The newly elected members of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors took their oaths of office Wednesday, and did so with the blessing and prayer of one of the departing members.

Pastor Ed Robb, who leads f The Woodlands United Methodist Church,and had served the township since 1999, prayed for the new members shortly before they were sworn in.

Robb, along with former member Jeff Long opted for retirement rather than run another campaign, while former board member Mike Bass was defeated by Brian Boniface on Nov. 8.

Both Robb and Long played a vital role through the years in the development of the current township structure, while Bass served on numerous committees, including The Woodlands road Utility District.

Gordy Bunch, who was re-elected and will serve as chairman, was sworn in with new members with Boniface, John Anthony Brown and Bruce Rieser.
