Police Arrest Accused Gunman in Basketball Shooting Death
Police believe the men were arguing over a pair of tennis shoes when the suspect shot the man and drove off.

Updated 12:42 p.m. Jan 11: A 20-year old Spring man accused of killing another man durng an arguent over tennis shoes was arrested in La Porte on Tuesday.
JaβCorrie Rogers was arrested at about 4:30 Tuesday and is being held in the Jefferson County jail on a $50,000 bond.
Witnesses said Rogers shot Darius Flournoy to death while Flournoy was playing basketball with friends in the 2400 block of Autumn Springs Lane on Monday night.

Witnesses said they initially thought the altercation was a joke, and that the gun was a toy, but when Flournoy away from Rogers and started laughing, Rogers allegedly shot him multiple times and drove away.
Investigators have not said when Rogers could be transfered to Harris County,

Original Story: SPRING, TX -- A 20-year old Spring man is wanted for allegedly shooting and killing another man during a game of pickup basketball Monday evening.
Police said the victim, identified as Darius Flournoy, 21, was playing basketball with friends in the 2400 block of Autumn Springs Lane at about 7 p.m., when a car pulled up and a man got out.
The driver of the car, identified as JaβCorrie Rogers, 20, began arguing with Flournoy about a pair of tennis shoes, according to police.
Witnesses told police that Rogers pulled out a gun and fired several shots before getting into his car and driving away.
Flournoy was shot several times and died a short time later at Houston Northwest Medical Center.
Rogers is charged with murder and is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
