Spring ISD to Host Future Teacher Signing Day
The school district will be a honoring the 39 graduating seniors who have participated in the Texas Association of Future Educators program.

SPRING, TX -- The Spring Independent School District will acknowledge 39 graduating seniors who have completed the education pathway and participated in the Texas Association of Future Educators program at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 at the Spring ISD Learning Center.
The students will not only be celebrated, but they will also sign letters of intent to return to the district to teach after graduating from college with an education degree.
The education career pathway was introduced at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School when it opened in 2006.

Since 2012, the district has expanded the pathway to Dekaney, Spring and Westfield high schools as well, allowing more students to be exposed to education as a career option beginning in the ninth grade.
Also, the district’s relationship with Junior Achievement gives an opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience through internships and leadership programs at Spring ISD elementary and middle schools.

The signing ceremony will include remarks from the Spring ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Rodney E. Watson, and Chief of Human Resources Officer Deeone McKeithan, as well as career pathway alumni.
