Students Reach New Milestone in Reading Program
Students at Ulrich Intermediate have reached a new milestone through the Learning Ally program.
From Klein Independent School District: Students at Ulrich Intermediate have reached a new milestone through the Learning Ally program and on Jan. 9 entered the Learning Ally Great Reading Games, a national reading contest among schools. This program allows students to listen to their favorite books while the program reads and highlights the words.
In just one month, students have earned more than 1 million points in the program. Teacher Stephanie Taylor describes the students as “on fire” and excited to be reading. Each day, students earn points for participating in the Reading Games and earn points for the pages they read. Together, they have read 104,433 pages!
“My students have gone above and beyond my expectations,” said teacher Stephanie Taylor. “I couldn’t be more proud of my students and this achievement.”
In setting this pace, the students have continued to stay in first place in the nation for the past two weeks. Good luck to these students!
