Tomball Blue Grass Festival Closes Out Successful Festival Season

More than 3,800 Bluegrass music lovers stretched from the historic downtown depot for an afternoon of true Americana

TOMBALL, TX -- The 5th annual Tomball Bluegrass Festival closed out the City’s 2016 fall festival season with big numbers. More than 3,800 Bluegrass music lovers stretched from the historic downtown depot half way to Cherry Street, two blocks away, for an afternoon of true Americana under a cloudless Texas sky.

David Davis & the Warrior River Boys, Chris Hirsch & the Lone Star Bluegrass Band, Bordertown Ramblers, and Chris Henry performed from the main stage, as dozens of pickers filled the courtyard at Granny’s Korner for the “Shade Tree Jam”. Bluegrass performers “Pine Island Station” and friends even showed up for an impromptu performance beneath the trees around the Depot Plaza fountain.

The Tomball Bluegrass Festival was sponsored in-part by Community Impact News and K-Star 99.7 FM.
