Tomball Firefighters Discover Body In Burned Out Garage

TOMBALL, TX -- Police in Tomball are trying to determine a cause of death after Tomball firefighters responding to call for a garage fire, discovered a body inside after the fire was extinguished.

Firefighters were called to a garage fire in the 30500 block of Quinn Road at about 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 26.

The family who was at home at the time told firefighters that one of the family members was not in the home.

Firefighters conducted two searches of the home, and were not able to find the missing person.

Firefighters later found the body of the missing person in a car parked in the garage, and called police.

Officials said the Tomball Police, Tomball Fire Department and the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office are working to determine the exact cause of the blaze.

Meanwhile, an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death.

Officials have not released the name of the deceased.
