Tomball ISD Named Finalist For HEB Education Excellence Award
HEB launched the Excellence in Education Awards program in cooperation with the Texas Association of School Administrators in 2002

TOMBALL, TX — Tomball ISD was named as a finalist in the 17th Annual HEB Excellence in Education Awards program in the large school district division.
The award was designed to recognize outstanding school districts demonstrating a commitment to student achievement through innovative programs, parent and community involvement, and professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators.
“It is a tremendous honor to be selected as a finalist for the HEB Excellence in Education Award. This recognition would not be possible without dedicated students, teachers, staff members, and administrators. Nor would it be possible without the strong support of our community,” said Tomball ISD Superintendent Martha Salazar-Zamora. “This distinction comes at a time when we are focused on new initiatives that enhance curriculum for our students as well as professional development for teachers and administrators. We look forward to highlighting the outstanding initiatives taking place in our schools when the HEB selection team visits Tomball ISD later in the spring.”
