Victim Of Alleged South Carolina Mass Murder Had Area Connection

TOMBALL, TX -- A local family is finding closure after a South Carolina man implicated in several murders, confessed to her nephews 2003 murder.

Brian Lucas, 29, and three others were allegedly murdered killed by Todd Kohlhepp inside a South Carolina motorcycle shop in 2003.

Kohlhepp allegedly confessed to the unsolved motorcycle shop killings last week, three days after searchers found a missing woman chained inside a storage container on Kohlhepp's South Carolina property.

Investigators said Kohlhepp was familiar with certain details of the murders that only the person responsible for the killing would know.

"It's been a crazy week. A lot of ups and downs," Lucas’ aunt Linda Crosswell told KPRC. "My sister and her husband and family. The emotions have been very high."

Lucas left behind a wife and two small children.

Crosswell said the family was unprepared for the news, but are healing and will continue to work with families of other unsolved murder victims.
