The Woodlands Chamber Hosts Annual Economic Outlook Conference

THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Economic Outlook Conference on Friday, Feb. 16.
The conference, which will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, will highlight the economic impact of Hurricane Harvey on Houston and the surrounding areas.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and includes breakfast and lunch with updates throughout the morning from area representatives, and concludes at 1 p.m.

Speakers who will provide updates include:
- US Rep Kevin Brady (R-The Woodlands)
- Laura Lea Palmer - Vice President of Business Retention & Expansion The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership
- Gordy Bunch - Chairman of the Board of Directors The Woodlands Township
- Dr. Latha Ramchand - Dean and Professor of Finance C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston
- Gil Staley - Moderator CEO The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership
- Peter R. Huntsman - Chairman & CEO Huntsman Corporation
Houston icon Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale will give the keynote address during the afternoon lunch portion of the program, and will share his personal recollection of Hurricane Harvey and how Houston continues to recover.
