Sinful: Woodlands Pastor Cuffed In Prostitution Sting

THE WOODLANDS, TX — A pastor from The Woodlands was arrested and charged with prostitution on Wednesday after he allegedly paid an undercover Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy for sex.

Eddie Hilburn, 52, who serves as the associate pastor at The Woodlands First Baptist Church, paid an undercover $80 for sex, and was arrested after the money was exchanged, officials said.

Hilburn, who has served as the associate pastor at The Woodlands First Baptist Church since 2012, appeared in court on Thursday, KTRK reported

He was later released.

The church released a statement shortly after news of the arrest: "The Woodlands First Baptist Church is still gathering information regarding our staff member Eddie Hilburn. We can assure you that a statement will be issued once all facts are known, and administration has had an opportunity to review them. We appreciate your patience in the meantime, and we continue to look to God for guidance."

Hilburn is married with three adult children.
