🌱 Bryan Signs GERS Bill + Woman Fought Off Attacker At Bus Stop

Good morning and let's get to it. Here are the top stories I'm following this Wednesday:

  • V.I. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Ernest Morris Jr. ruled that most of the hearing against Lyndon Tyasonwill be close to the public. Tyson, of La Grande Princess, was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child, via the Virgin Islands Daily News.
  • Governor Albert Bryan signed into law a bill allowing the V.I. government to seek funding in the bond market to undergird GERS, via the VI Consortium.
  • The Virgin Islands Police Department announced they arrested and charged a man who attacked a woman waiting at a bus stop on St. Thomas. The woman fought off her attacker who, according to police, was trying to rape her, via The Source.
